FRI3D General FAQ

General questions about FRI3D — pricing, licensing models, support, and releases. Click a question to expand the answer.

What is the cost of FRI3D?

As a principle, we promote the adoption of our cutting-edge, easy-to-use, game-changing technology, and therefore do not believe in imposing upfront capital expenditure on our customers. Our pricing models are pay-as-you-use, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based — the business case (the benefits from using FRI3D) more often than not helps pay for the subscription fee.

There are different licensing models available depending on the customer's needs and usage patterns:

  • Node-locked to a machine
  • Locked to a Windows user / users
  • Floating, which can operate on machines across a network, limited by the number of licenses purchased

For qualified leads, we also offer a four-week evaluation copy so qualified customers can familiarize themselves with FRI3D and the benefits arising from its use.

Is there an annual or perpetual software license?

The standard pricing models currently offered are on a pay-per-use, annual SaaS basis, for the reasons above. However, we can discuss your specific needs and help identify the model that best suits you.

Is there maintenance support?

Yes — the annual SaaS subscription comes with annual maintenance / support and any upgrades released during the annual period.

How often are new versions released?

Custom-built fixes for customer-specific needs with critical impact can be released immediately. Generally, minor versions are released every quarter and major versions annually. The specific features in each release are based on consolidated feedback from users and their needs.

Can the software be run from a network, or does it have to be installed on one computer with users logging in?

Yes — there is an option to purchase a networked / floating license, which lets you access the software on a network shared drive, running FRI3D concurrently, limited by the number of floating licenses purchased.

How can I get a license for FRI3D?
