FRI3D Plant Database
Plant Information Database#
Plant information databases hopefully contain all of the main items in a facility. This may also include relation data similar to the circuit information in the fire logic database. The format of this information is not fixed, and a custom module needs to be created in order to import the data.
If both a PRA Logic database has already been imported, then the data common between Fire Logic and the Plant Database are linked, and only one item is shown in FRI3D. The plant information is used to determine what items are physically located in the zones or compartments. While the items can be included in the 3D model and part of the simulations, they are not be part of the simulation results calculations.
While the fire logic data does not distinguish between different types of raceways, the custom plant information can. For example, a plant may distinguish between “Trays,” “Conduits,” and “Other Raceways.” The PDMS information can also add sources to FRI3D for existing scenarios, as FRANX has no source information.
FRI3D provides a template for this, and specific implementations should get in touch with us for import of their specific databases.
